In Media
Dec 2020
For the last 12 weeks, I volunteered with Fixt Point Arts and Media as part the Empathy Squad program. I learned how to create an audio-storytelling piece, with recorded interviews from my chosen community - the Filipino-Canadian community in Stratford.
Listen to my conversation with my peers - and a couple of Titas from our "parents' generation" - about education, career, and future hopes in this podcast.

In September, Tethered the Ghost performed Healing Thread at the In The Soil Multi-Arts Festival. And it was all outdoors!

My past couple of years have been filled with conversations about home, ancestry, and community. Conversations with myself, with my closest friends, with colleagues and people I admire so much, with just about every circle I deliberately choose to be in. It's amazing how the love and belonging permeate the spaces in which these conversations have taken place.
I feel so blessed one of these conversations happened to be with Koi Thompson who thought my story was worth including in Ballinran Entertainment's Faces of Diversity documentary series. Thank you to the amazing team, and a huge shoutout to my buddy Mac Kropf for the beautiful edit 💜
Check out the other shorts - and hear the stories of the different faces of diversity in Stratford - on Ballinran Entertainment's YouTube Channel. Hope this sparks conversations in your circles - with your neighbour, your co-worker, the person at your favourite store.

Such a pleasure to be alongside the other amazing speakers at Medicine Hat's PechaKucha Night on September 24, 2022. Held at the Esplanade Main Theatre.
"PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share interesting topics following the format of 20 slides x 20 seconds per slide."
